My partner and I have dedicated our lives to hard work, and now that we’re both in our sixties and our children have moved on to pursue their own lives, we’ve decided that it’s time to indulge ourselves. Growing up, neither of us came from wealthy backgrounds, and while our family home as adults was a bit more upscale, it wasn’t always up to our standards, especially with four children growing up under the same roof.
We’ve accumulated a bit of our wealth through our family business, which was slow to start but has put us in a much better financial position over the last fifteen years. We view the next few decades as “our time” to accomplish everything we’ve always wanted in life. One of these things is to own a luxury property on the Mornington Peninsula, which has been a longstanding dream of ours that is finally becoming a reality.
To achieve this, we’ve been in discussions with trusted house-building companies in the area to gather quotes and solicit advice from experienced building designers. As we’ve never built a home before, we’re eager for guidance from professionals who are happy to take charge. While we have a few design ideas in mind, we’re also open to suggestions and recommendations.
We’re excited to meet with custom home designers on the Mornington Peninsula tomorrow. They have designed and built many of the homes on the Mornington Peninsula. I actually didn’t know this until we decided to venture down the path of building. Who would have thought many of these homes have been designed and built by the same people? It’s truly amazing!
The most thrilling part of this project is the knowledge that one day we will be living in our dream home, complete with a view overlooking the beach. It’s a dream that I never thought would come true, but it’s finally becoming a reality. I’m looking forward to the day when I can spend every morning on the beach, simply soaking up the sun’s rays.
