Since I’ve been spending so much time with Jessa at her lovely house I have been neglecting my little neck of the woods. My apartment in comparison is looking very drab and boring. I’ve been thinking about painting the walls a fun colour. I have never painted an entire apartment before and I’m not sure if I’m up to the task. I might get away with painting my bedroom and not worrying about the rest for a few months. I would love to paint something really impressive and life affirming on the walls but I am no artist. What I would really like to do is take some of my more interesting photos and have them blown up to wall size and put on removable wallpaper. It would be so very cool to have the roof of my bedroom as a photo of the solar system. It would be like not having a roof and laying under the stars. I used to have those glow star stickers on my bedroom room when I was little.
The wall I could put all kinds of interesting patterns, nothing too bold mind you. I don’t want to wake up and get confused. I’m sure I heard about a place that did custom photo wallpaper, I think it was on that renovation show on TV. I’m going to take photos of the room as it is and put the wallpaper on digitally to make sure it looks good before I decide. I think having my own custom vinyl decals for walls would look really impressive. I might surprise Jessa by having her name appear in small stars. I’m not sure if that’s cute or tacky, either way I’m sure she’ll love it. I don’t think we’d be able to do forest wallpaper at her old house. I can’t really see any room that would work with a photo wall. My apartment however is a mismatch of bright colours and things that I have found in my travels. Custom wallpaper will look perfect in the space. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.
